What is the Season after Pentecost?

Also called Ordinary Time, the Season after Pentecost includes the Sundays which follow Pentecost and lasts until the last Sunday before Advent (Christ the King Sunday). This time does not have a particular emphasis in the story of Jesus as the other seasons do. Rather, the season reminds us that we are empowered by the Spirit (on Pentecost) to carry Jesus’ message, ministry and mission to the world. Hearing his story and re-identifying with him, we are sent to our neighbors and the nations with the Good News.
