Sound Team

As a church body, Christ Church is involved in many important ministries, but corporately there is nothing we do that is more important than gathering together in worship. After all, when this world passes by, it is what the Lord has ordained for us for the rest of eternity.

Our gatherings would be difficult without support from the sound system and those who run it. When we "have church" we should each be there as a participant and not just an observer. A good sound system, run properly, is one thing that can help us to "enter in", while a poorly run one can truly be a distraction.

That's why a good church sound engineer is not only focused on knobs, buttons and wires, but also, more importantly, on crafting intelligible speech and musical sounds. It's not difficult but it is incredibly important in the life of the church. You don't need to know a lot, just be willing to "listen".
