Love, and Jesus, in a Shoebox

Some of you may already be familiar with Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.  Again, this is another opportunity to teach our children about the world they live in, and provide them with a hands-on way to bless others.  Boxes will be available soon in the Children's Wing with instructions, if your family is interested in participating.  Collection Sunday is November 21.  As you take care of your own household needs this month, let your child start collecting little bits of love for another child somewhere else in the world.  Personal items, such as toothbrushes, school supplies are the kinds of items you help your children put in a box.  Samaritan's purse adds information on Jesus which is in the right language and age appropriate.  www.samaritanspurse.org is the site you can go to for more information about the program.  On November 21, we will be finding the countries the boxes will travel to on our giant earth in the Children's Wing!
