Intercessory Prayer

Several intercessory prayer groups meet to pray for Christ Church to the end that God may be glorified in our lives as individuals, in the church and in our city and the world beyond it.

Crisis Prayer Chain

We have a telephone prayer chain for Christ Church families in crisis situations call the Church Office at 476-7790 or Ellen Blackwell at 776-5727 to start the prayer chain.

E-mail Intercessors

The e-mail intercessors are a group of people from Christ Anglican who have made a commitment to pray for the concerns, ministries, and needs of Christ Anglican Church and others. These prayer requests are not usually of a crisis or urgent nature, which would be more effectively handled by the Crisis Prayer Chain, but are often of a more confidential or detailed nature than is appropriate for inclusion in the general prayer list published in the Cornerstone and Sunday Bulletin. On occasion, however, requests of a crisis nature are also sent out by e-mail. The purpose of this ministry is to link people who will come before the Lord in prayer on behalf of our congregation and those with whom we have contact. The model for this ministry is Christ Himself, who stands before the Father interceding for us. The requirements of this ministry are an e-mail address and a heart open to the Lord and the needs of this faith community and those around us.
