Background of The Journey Ministry

In 1972, Conlee and Signa, then living in Fayetteville, Arkansas, had a personal encounter with the Holy Spirit who initiated their continuing passion for wholeness. Introduced to the healing ministry and mentored by Leanne Payne, they began to minister alongside her in Pastoral Care Ministries seminars in North America and Europe.  They continued to minister with PCM until Ms. Payne's retirement in 2008. Conlee continues to serve on the board of Pastoral Care Ministries.

After Conlee's completion of seminary and ordination in 1987, he soon became co-Rector of what is now Christ Church in Mobile, Alabama.  He was installed as Rector (Senior Pastor) in 2002. A mission statement was developed by the lay leadership which stated that "we are a place for healing of the human spirit, soul and body by offering the ministries of forgiveness and reconciliation for wholeness within our church family, this community, and wherever God calls us and healing prayer with the laying on of hands . . ."

Out of the combined desires for a ministry of wholeness in the hearts of the Bodishbaugh's and the hearts of the leadership of Christ Church, Conlee and Signa formed a Healing Prayer Team and trained them to minister to the local congregation.  The ministry was similar in nature to what they had been doing one on one since they came to Christ.

Aware of the great need for this kind of teaching and ministry in the larger church (regardless of denomination), Conlee and Signa developed The Journey to Wholeness in Christ seminar which they have offered several times a year since 1993. Besides taking the seminars to many congregations and denominations in the U.S., they have taken The Journey to seminary settings as well as churches and retreat centers in Canada, England, Germany, Israel, The Netherlands and Rwanda.
